Scope: SAS V9.3.0 from SAS Institute is now available for use on OKIPCPA - (aka PRDA Complex System SYZ or PA03) and OKIPCPB - (aka PRDB Complex System PB02). This version of SAS is the latest that HP Enterprise services has packaged and currently is supported by SAS Institute.
Base SAS provides a scalable, integrated software environment specially designed for data access, transformation and reporting. It includes a fourth-generation programming language; ready-to-use programs for data manipulation, information storage and retrieval, descriptive statistics and report writing; and a powerful macro facility that reduces programming time and maintenance headaches. Details: SAS V9.3.0 has been installed on the listed complexes above. All SAS V9.3.0 libraries reside on each system in datasets that begin with SYS2.SAS.-. This version of SAS can be used by modifying JCL to utilize PROC SAS930 - (SYS2.PROCLIB(SAS930)). If you have a need to use SAS V9.3.0 interactively, you can invoke it via CLIST SAS930.

Please begin testing this version of SAS as soon as possible and convert production JCL to this version as you are comfortable. At this time, there is no timetable to remove the old versions of SAS, but using the most current supported version is highly recommended.
