Summary:
The Catalog Solutions software will be upgraded on all systems currently running prior releases of the software.

Justification:
The V9.1.0 level of the software is required to run z/OS 1.13

Benefits to Users:
Maintain software currency.

Details:
Catalog Solutions V9.1.0 will be upgraded on all systems currently runnning the Catalog Solutions software. The following elements will be changing or required as part of the V9.1.0 upgrade:

1. Access the Catalog Solution setup panel
Before you are able to issue commands through the Catalog Solution
ISPF panels, you must specify the RCS load library name in the
Catalog Solution Setup Panel.

By default, this library is merged to SYS2A.OEM.LINKLIB.

2. Software Package Restructured
The vendor has restructured the software package to be an
SMP/e-installable product. In addition, the vendor has
restructured the product elements (program names, panel names,
etc.) so as to be unique and avoid name collisions with other
vendor products. As a result, there should no longer be a
requirement to merge the product to discreet ISPF and load
libraries. Thus, the SOS package has been updated to merge
the product to common ISPF (SYS2.TSO.**) and LINKLST
(SYS2A.OEM.LINKLIB) libraries. Product users should be
made aware that there is no longer any requirement to
specify a STEPLIB to access the product.

In addition, users should be aware that the Catalog Solution
main executable program name has changed from CSLMAIN to
RCSMAIN. Batch Catalog Solution users will need to update
any JCL to reference the new program name.

3. Catalog Solution 9.1.0 now uses license keys, referenced
via a JCL DD statement, instead of installation codes (used in prior
releases and referenced in load module format.)

License keys are now found in the RCSINI member of the SRCSSAMP data
set, and must be referenced in user batch JCL via the following DD
statement

//INI DD DISP=SHR,DSN=SYS2.CATSOL.SRCSSAMP(RCSINI)
