Scope: The product CA-MIGRATE/COBOL is being discontinued. The vendor has
announced they will no longer support the product. The product will be
removed from any complex where it currently resides.
Effective Date: The rollout will begin 11/28/2011 with Service Center RFCs
scheduled with the MVS Maintenance Window IPLs.

Summary: The CA-MIGRATE/COBOL is being discontinued because it is no longer

Justification: The highest level of COBOL the product could be utilized for,
is for migrating to COBOL 75.
Benefits to Users: Clean up unused, unsupported product freeing up resources.
Details: The CA-MIGRATE/COBOL is being discontinued because it is no longer
supported. The vendor has announced they will no longer support the product.
The product was used to aid in the migration from one level of COBOL to
another. It’s usage is only to migrate, and not used in an ongoing purpose.
The last level of COBOL the product supported was to go to COBOL 75.
Impact to end users is Low.
