Scope: CA LDAP Server for z/OS will be upgraded from version 12.0.0 to 15.0.0 on the systems listed in the Affected Locations section below.
Effective Date: For each complex, a RFC will be created in Service Center to support the change. The effective date for each complex will be the Scheduled Implementation Date detailed in the complex’s CA LDAP Server for z/OS 15.0.0 upgrade RFC.
Group Name: National MVS Software Support Team
Affected Locations: AHIPC2I, AHIPC27, AHIPC28, AHIPC29, CLIPC1I, DADNN3A, DYIPC1B, and
RODPN1A. Systems LAXMVS and PLIPC4O have already been upgraded to Version
15.0.0.
Summary: CA LDAP Server for z/OS will be upgraded from V12.0.0 to V15.0.0 on all systems where CA LDAP Server for z/OS V12.0.0 is currently installed.
Justification: To upgrade to a current level of supported software by Computer Associates.
Benefits to Users: To maintain software currency and exploit the products new features. CA LDAP Server for z/OS V15.0.0 supports LDAPv3 rather than the older LDAPv2. CA LDAP Server for z/OS V15.0.0 supports the current levels of CA ACF2 and Top Secret.
Details: All HP mainframe systems supported by the National MVS Software Support Team that currently have CA LDAP Server for z/OS V12.0.0 installed will be upgraded to Version 15.0.0.
The objectclass and objectclass hierarchy may have changed between V1200 and V1500; therefore, review the "CA LDAP Server for z/OS Product Guide r15" manual to determine the impact to your application. It is highly recommended that you test your application during the test window to ensure your application works as intended.
