Summary:
During research on ELIT/zOS maintenance levels, it was discovered that there are regions that are considerably overdue in maintenance. The current maintenance release available for ELIT/zOS is 10.2, with release 11.1 in process of being released. As a rule, the ELIT engineering staff supports the two latest releases, in this case 10.2 and 10.1, with support for 10.1 falling off after 11.1 is in the field.
The reason for this message and the urgency for response is due to several enhancements to ELIT/zOS that when implemented may cause unexpected results on those systems which are not at the current release levels. Especially of concern are those regions that receive daily location table updates from the central ELIT database, since new location table features could cause problems on unsupported systems when implemented.
It is strongly recommended that all ELIT regions are updated as soon as possible; The concern is centered on avoiding possible service disruption for our ELIT Trading Partners.
