Summary: Testing of the new release of CA-Easytrieve Plus version 11.5 is available. The above listed GM systems now have a STEPLIB available to test Easytrieve Plus version 11.5. Testing can begin immediately and there is no need to wait for any purpose. Testing will be in compatibility mode only. Testing of new function mode is not yet available with this STEPLIB. For more information about the new version of CA-Easytrieve Plus see usercomminication 2012 - 10.
Benefits to Users: The ability to test the new version prior to the production version of the product being upgraded.
Details: The data set to be used for STEPLIB testing purposes on all of these systems is: SYS3.TEST.EZTPLUS.V115.CAILIB This data set is for testing purposes only and no production JCL should be permanently updated to contain this data set.
If you have compiled Easytrieve code then in your compile JCL you will need the following data set in your SYSLIB DD: SYS3.TEST.EZTPLUS.V115.CAIMAC.
Notes for specific systems: On PLIPC1A and PLIPC3D if you already have the following data set in your STEPLIB or JOBLIB: SYS2.EZTPLUS.LOADLIB.PDSOPT The SYS3.TEST.EZTPLUS.V115.CAILIB data set should go below this data set in the STEPLIB or JOBLIB. If the data set is not in your STEPLIB or JOBLIB then do not add it.
On PLIPC1B if you already have one of the following data sets in your STEPLIB or JOBLIB: SYS2.EZTPLUS.CAILIB.PDSOPT SYS2.EZTPLUS.CAILIB.PDSOPT2 The SYS3.TEST.EZTPLUS.V115.CAILIB data set should go below any of these data sets in the STEPLIB or JOBLIB. . If one of these data set is not in your STEPLIB or JOBLIB then do not add it.
