Scope:
The IBM Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/OS (TLCM) product,
formerly known as SoftAudit, will be removed from all systems listed in the
Affected Locations section of this Usercomm. The product is being replaced by the
IBM Tivoli Asset Discovery for z/OS (TADz) product which is currently installed.
The product is used primarily by the internal HP software support teams for
product inventory and usage reporting.
Effective Date:
The removal of the product will begin in June 2012.

Summary:
The IBM Tivoli Asset Discovery for z/OS (TADz) product has been
installed to replace the IBM Tivoli License Compliance Manager for z/OS (TLCM)
product. also known as SoftAudit.
Justification:
The product has been replaced and is no longer needed.
Benefits to Users:
The removal of the product will eliminate the need for the HP
MVS software support teams to support two similar products.
Details:
Service Center RFCs and ECMs (where applicable) will be opened to schedule
the removal of the product. Removals are scheduled to begin in June 2012.
