Scope: PRO/JCL is a JCL management tool that improves productivity and manageability of MVS installations. PRO/JCL includes the JCL Manipulation Program (JMP), which provides an easily-used and powerful facility for tailoring JCL to your site's needs and requirements. With PRO/JCL you can ensure your entire job stream is ready for error-free execution
INFO/X is an enterprise-wide cross-reference tool utilized by programmers, systems analysts, and operations personnel to increase the effectiveness of the change process by determining what JCL and other operational system elements will be affected by changes.
Effective Date: For each complex, a change record will be created in Service Center to support the change and to indicate the proposed implementation date for ASG-PRO/JCL (+ASG-INFO/X) 2.9.0.The RFC will be scheduled for the MVS Maintenance Window IPLs.

Summary: ASG-PRO/JCL (+ASG-INFO/X) 2.9.0 will be upgraded from version PROJCL WITH INFO/X 2.7.0 on HP mainframe systems supported by the National MVS Software Support Team.
Justification: The upgrade maintains a current level of software supported by the vendor. This will allow the product to be compatible with z/OS 1.13.
Benefits to Users: Maintain software currency and z/OS 1.13 compatibility.

1. Changes to JMPGetStmtType Return Values
When issuing the JMPAPI call JMPGetStmtType, the values returned on some statements have been changed:

If you use any of the above statement types, you must modify your existing JMP EXECs to check for the new values. A REXX EXEC, CONVJMP1, is included in the EXEC library to convert any JMP EXECs that reference these statement types. The CONVJMP1 EXEC will not check for FORMAT.
2. Changes to JMPAPI Model Access
New system level APIs have been added to the JMPAPI Model. To view the new SYSAPI model, member ISREMRXC must be updated. See the ASG-PRO/JCL Installation Guide for details on how to do this.
