Scope: All CA InterTest for CICS and CA SymDump for CICS Users
Effective Date: Immediately
Group Name: Software Services Mainframe CICS
Affected Locations: All Sites
Summary: CA InterTest for CICS v9.1 and CA SymDump for CICS v9.1 are being implemented.
Justification: To maintain current software levels and to meet prerequisites for planned CICS upgrade/implementation of CICS TS 5.2. Please note the vendor, Computer Associates, will end support for CA InterTest/SymDump v85 on July 31, 2016.
Benefits to Users:
Support for multiple program versions in a Single PROTSYM.
Details: CA InterTest/SymDump v85 will be upgraded to CA InterTest for CICS v9.1 and CA SymDump v9.1.
The products are being installed separately to facilitate installation and licensing requirements.
User action is required as product dataset alias names are changing.
The current CA InterTest/SymDump v85 dataset alias names are:
CICS.INTERTST.CACICS
CICS.INTERTST.CAILIB
CICS.INTERTST.LOADLIB
CA InterTest for CICS users should make the following JCL changes:
Replace CICS.INTERTST.CACICS with CICS.INTERTST.CABALOAD
Replace CICS.INTERTST.CAILIB with CICS.INTERTST.CAVHLOAD

CA SymDump for CICS users should make the following JCL changes:
Replace CICS.INTERTST.CACICS with CICS.SYMDUMP.CABALOAD
Replace CICS.INTERTST.CAILIB with CICS.SYMDUMP.CAVHLOAD

These changes can be made now to JCL and Endevor or similar processes.
If these changes are made now, at implementation time:
CA InterTest for CICS users will not be required to make any changes.
CA SymDump for CICS users will need to change the name of the SymDump dump print program from IN25PDMP to IN67PDMP (for use with CICS TS4.2) or IN69PDMP (for use with CICS TS 5.2).
The current v8.5 dataset alias names may continue to be used, however, they will be removed at a future date, approximately 30-60 days after v9.1 implementation. This action will be communicated separately.
Note: Use of CICS.INTERTST.LOADLIB was to have been discontinued with the implementation of v8.5. If you are using CICS.INTERTST.LOADLIB, please contact your CICS support team representative for directions.
